Ninjor Drft

Hello and welcome again. Today I continue showcasing draft pix of my toy collection featuring some of my Power Ranger Zords. But today I have a very unique entry in my line up. For this isn't really a zord at all. It's more like a........well......let me explain. Here's a little background (yeah explanations!).

When the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers lost their powers and their Dino/Thunder Zords, they were to retrieve a new source of power whilst on a ''Ninja Quest''. Coming across a lost temple, on a far away planet, they faced the creator of the original Power Coins ....Ninjor! Unsure at first, Ninjor finally gains faith in them and presents what they sought plus more. New Power Coins, new Ninjetti ninja powers, new Ninja Zords, and their old Power Ranger costumes. Ninjor was at times comical and a bit of a wise guy. Though he was truly a wise and just sage who guided the Rangers in not only receiving a new kind of power but in taking a step forward in Power Ranger evolution. To aid them further, this guardian could grow many times his size when the Ninja Mega Falconzord wasn't enough. Thus becoming an ally as well as a mentor. Oh and also in the show his vioce actor made him out to sound a lot like Marvin the Martian. I found that hilarious, but you be the judge.

And now as a toy, Ninjor proudly stands along with his fellow toy zords at more or less equal height. Like the Warrior Wheel, he makes up for his lack of zord combining with spring-loaded transformation goodiness. When Ninja mode can't cut it and the bad guy makes him ''very angry'', a changing sequence is summoned to turn him into Shogun Mode! Along with removable sword and sheath Ninjor is battle ready. A clad armored warrior who inspired his team to victory and maybe even inspired the design of the Alien Rangers (last 1/4 of season 3).

So while movie goers saw the Rangers being aided by female fighting teacher, Dulcea, t.v. fans were treated to Martian mimicking mentor Ninjor. What a great deal, huh? Well no matter. Ninjor shall forever stand along side with half the zords he help create in my collection. Zords of which I shall continue to present to all of you nostalgic fans of Power Rangers, toys, karate, and cheesy rubber head aliens. Until next time, may the power protect you.
